iWeb have launched a brand new bespoke eCommerce site for Oneposter.com and Grindstore.com. Oneposter.com is the UK’s largest online retailer of posters, t-shirts, art prints and giftware and Grindstore.com offers a comprehensive range of music merchandise to Rock fans.
The two sister sites contain exactly the same functionality and are skinned with different designs to sell a huge number of product lines into separate market sectors. A single back-office system with a host of innovative features feeds both websites.
The site is developed to exactly meet the customer’s specific processes and workflow and integrates seamlessly with their back office system to provide dynamic stock control, automatic purchasing of stock from suppliers and pick and pack warehouse operations.
Even though the site is developed to manage huge quantities of product at a time, the designs remain clear, simple and easy to use. The home page, editable in the Content Management System, delivers a concise overview of product categories, bestsellers and recommended products, shopping cart, tag cloud, create wishlist and newsletter signup. Ajax animated elements are used to add a different element to navigation whilst at the same time keeps the design tidy.
At the product page level visitors are presented with a large image and clear product information to maximise the chance of them making the decision to add to cart with a single click. They can also choose to browse through related categories and products and see what others who purchased the selected product also bought. There is also the opportunity for them to add to Wish list, Notify me and Tell a friend.
Once an order is placed through the secure payment gateway, the back office system allows comprehensive order process management and the ability to perform security checks on all orders. No orders are processed until authorised by human intervention.
Detailed management reports of sales, stock, campaigns and customer reports can be generated to produce vital statistics on the business for future strategy development and accounting purposes.
iWeb have developed an in-depth discounting and profiling system which lets the client maximise on marketing opportunities. Customers can be accurately profiled by specific keywords to offer targeted discount promotions via the integrated email newsletter system. Discounts can be offered by product, by category or by a specific target group of customers and can be a percentage, a fixed amount or free delivery.
Both digital and physical vouchers can be produced from the back office with the paper version being exported as csv file for printing. Incorporating this feature within the back office system guarantees that vouchers are accounted for within the sales figures.
The mail merge feature generates customer service emails based on a range of templates (e.g. Thanks for registering) ensuring communication with customers is consistent and accurate whilst saving time.
