iWeb has won the contract to work with Nobel Web AB to design and build the new Honeywell Nobel Interactive Studio web site. The joint initiative from Honeywell, Nobel Web AB and Nobel Media AB will deliver exclusive content from Nobel Laureates in Physics and Chemistry to educate, engage and inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.

The web site will be a forum for students to learn directly from Nobel Laureates through live webcasts and video streaming. Students can signup for free to watch live streams of lectures delivered by Nobel Laureates from prominent Universities around the world and submit questions in real time. An interactive Google map will show where the events are taking place and a countdown ticker will indicate timings for upcoming physical and digital events.

A huge archive of past lectures will be hosted in video format and the section ‘Nobel Moments’ will feature videos of Laureates talking about what first inspired them to study in the field of science and the celebrated discoveries they have made during their careers.

The content managed site will have a clear and easy to use design with slick and simple controls for video playback. Students will be able to interact with the content with options to comment, share, download and rate each video. These social networking elements maximise the potential to organically grow the number of visitors to the site well into the future.
