Most of you will be aware of the “eCommerce development” we produced for one of our longstanding customers MyMemory to produce a class leading photo product website. The site’s been live for just over 2 months and it was now time for some of the team to go over and check that all systems were running fine.
The project team from iWeb team flew over to the Huggler print factory in Jersey last Friday. It was great for the some of the iWeb team to meet the others that had been working on the print side of things over in Jersey, and to learn how all of our efforts came together to create the final project. Being on the design team, this was my first visit to the island.
We were given a tour of the factory and an explanation of what each piece of equipment did in the printing process. There were perfect binders, large scale industrial guillotines, wide format printers, and digital cutting machines to name a few. It was exciting to see some of our designs being printed on the enormous industrial scale printer and to follow the process though to see a photo book being created.

The digital cutting machine makes sure your posters and pages have the perfect edge to them.
After our tour of the factory, and a few drinks in a pub in Gorey, we resigned to our hotel rooms for a few moments R & R before the evening meal. We joined the Jersey team in Huggler’s Michelin star restaurant, Bohemia, where we were wined and dined until the early hours of the morning.
The food was fantastic and we all agreed that it was one of the nicest meals we had ever eaten. It was a fun filled evening getting to know the other half of the “My Memory Photo” team, and great to finally meet faces that have for a long while been mere voices at the end of a phone line.
A huge thank you to the team over in Jersey for being so welcoming, and for sharing with us a meal we won’t forget. A great time was had by all.
