We love Lego creations for one reason: the coloured blocks enable you to build anything you can imagine. A German chap named Friedemann Wachsmuth has built a fully-functioning a Super-8 film projector out of just that; Lego.
It uses two Technic engines and includes automatic feeding and fast-rewind among its features. It plays at 24 frames per second and has 120m reel capabilities.
The only non-Lego parts are the lens, the reel spindles and the lamp — which is provided by an LED flashlight, which Wachsmuth says “makes it amazingly bright”.
