It’s great when hard work gets recognised and we couldn’t be more pleased that it has! We’re proud to announce that iWeb have been shortlisted for not one, but TWO fantastic awards at The eCommerce Awards for Excellence! Our client work for Raleigh has been nominated for Best eCommerce New Design or Re-Design and for MyMemory, Best Mobile eCommerce Campaign.

As it’s one of the leading industry awards for celebrating innovation and excellence within the world of eCommerce and with a record number of high-quality entries received for the awards this year – it feels an especially great achievement that we’re amongst the finalists for 2017.

Here’s a taster of what went down last year..

The Raleigh Redesign

We faced a few challenges when redesigning Raleigh. Their old site had become dated, unresponsive to mobile devices and suffered from a disjointed customer experience.

We made their site fully responsive, improved location services for the ‘Test Ride’ and ‘Find a Dealer’ features, streamlined checkout, improved product pages and site aesthetic. Their customers can now quickly access the right advice to choose the right bike for their needs.

MyMemory and Mobile

Around the same time as Raleigh, we also came to the assistance of long-time clients MyMemory. Their site wasn’t responsive and lots of 3rd party services and features meant custom development, which wasn’t always cost effective. It was decided that the best route was to migrate to Magento.

We gave the new site responsive design, Volo integration, MailChimp capabilities, Windsor Circle email automation and Algolia product search. However, the MyMemory shortlist nomination focuses specifically on their bespoke mobile functionality. For this, we integrated device detection so that when a customer visits the site from a certain device, e.g a Samsung Galaxy S6, it will recommend products and accessories that are relevant to that device.

The Awards

The awards this year take place on Wednesday 27th September, at the London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square. According to the official awards schedule, the night should be kicking off with a swanky drinks reception at 7:00pm, the all-important awards presentation ceremony at 9:45pm, with a chance to socialise and network immediately after.

This year, eCommerce Awards 2017 categories are split into 4 sections:  Industry, Specialist, Business and Company Online. Retailers and relevant agencies will be in attendance for the exciting event and the best performing participants overall will automatically be put forward for the Online Gold Award for eCommerce.

We got everything crossed for both our entries at the awards. We know the evening will be a hugely enjoyable experience for all, whatever the outcome! Good luck to all.
