What is single sign-on?

In a nutshell, the single sign-on feature is an authentication process that allows a user to access multiple applications with only one set of credentials. This is especially useful for companies who handle lots of users and applications as you can switch from one application to another without having to re-enter your login credentials.

With single sign-on, the user can increase their productivity, manage the users process improvement and the company’s promoted applications.

The Akeneo Enterprise Edition allows users to request access to a certain application and create an ‘Identity Provider’. This is a user that has the authority to verify another user’s identity and grant them access to a requested application.

The Single Sign-on feature can be disabled quickly by clicking SSO enabled in the application if it needs to be disabled for security reasons.
