What a year it’s been here at iWeb. 2019 has been filled with awards, epic website launches (if we do say so ourselves) and a year of exponential growth for the company. Take a look at what we’ve achieved in the past 12 months in our iWeb 2019 roundup.
January to March
We were shortlisted in the UK eCommerce Awards for ‘B2C eCommerce Website Of The Year’ for our work with the British Heart Foundation. It’s always nice to be recognised for your hard work, but if we are completely honest, we’re proud of the difference we’ve been able to make for the British Heart Foundation.
Thousands of pounds more donations (and rising), all going towards research that will save people’s lives.
We achieved Gold Solution Partner status with Akeneo PIM – making our business one of the highest ranked Akeneo partners in the UK.
We also launched Tile Giant’s new website. After several years of trading with a Magento 1 website that was in desperate need of a facelift, Tile Giant approached iWeb to develop a brand new solution to help transform their online offer built on Magento 2.
The new website achieved a 28% increase in revenue, 35% increase in conversion rate and a whopping 98% increase in mobile conversion rate.

Whilst February and March were quiet on the event/award front, our team were hard at work burrowing away at Magento migrations and new builds.
April to June
Our dream team, Chloe, Pembo, Ricki and Tom W, passed their Magento Solutions Specialist exams. We’re proud to now have 15 Magento 2 certifications across the team at iWeb – meaning we are now one of 12 Magento Enterprise Partners in the UK ?.

In May, we were thrilled to be finalists in not one, but TWO categories at the Magento Imagine Excellence awards:
- Best Magento Upgrade category for our work on the new Tile Giant website
- B2C Growth Award category for our work with the British Heart Foundation
These highly sought after awards celebrate the exceptional creativity, innovation and success of Magento merchants and partners across the world, so we were chuffed to be a part of it!
After our recent Magento exam success, along with a number of big projects and integrations, we earned our right to declare that iWeb are Magento Enterprise Solution Partners.
As Magento Enterprise partners, we are able to provide a full-service offering from strategy and design through to development, implementation as well as management and support.

On 5th June, we were extremely proud to host our third event: iWeb Live 2019. The event featured inspiring talks from some of the biggest names in eCommerce, including Paypal, Klarna, Akeneo, Yotpo and Nosto to name but a few.
It was our biggest and most successful event to date, and we can’t wait for you to see what’s coming for iWeb Live 2020 – keep your eyes peeled ?

Our sister company, Kanuka Digital, celebrated its 1st birthday ?? Despite being in their infancy, Kanuka continue to make waves within the industry and deliver incredible results time and time again for clients.
July to September
With time running out for merchants to re-platform before the end of life of Magento 1 in June 2020, we launched brand-spanking-new websites for TW Wholesale Ltd, Peter Nyssen and Catering 2 You on Magento 2 with heaps of custom integrations.
Our (almost) annual company BBQ went down a storm and in more athletic adventures, Neil, Tom and Joe completed the Stafford 10K with flying colours during September despite half the office dropping out! Half marathon next year guys?

During September, we also attended eCommerce Expo in London with Akeneo to connect with eCommerce and martech businesses across the UK. With record-breaking crowds at the 2 day event, we were thrilled to speak to businesses about how Akeneo PIM solutions can transform the way that their data can be managed.
October to December
We WON!
Our team won DIY, Home, Furniture & Interior Design eCommerce Website of the Year with Tile Giant at the Northern eCommerce Awards. We’re still extremely proud of the team involved that helped make the project such a success.

The awards featured a variety of categories celebrating exceptional websites, platforms, suppliers, and marketing from other phenomenal in-house teams and agencies disrupting the market. During November, we launched an all-new website for Proper Music, Housing Units, welcomed a handful of new employees to our ever-growing team of experts to continue our growth into the new decade and our very own Tom Williams became a Full Stack Magento Developer!
To celebrate a successful year, we hosted our annual Christmas party at Ayo Gorkhali in Stafford with Kanuka Digital. The evening was filled with good food, drink and ….expertly called bingo.
We continued the festive celebrations into our final week of operation, as we combined our Annual iWeb/Kanuka Digital Christmas Cheese Day with Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save The Children to make the most epic, cheese-filled celebration.

To complete our iWeb 2019 roundup, we wanted to take this opportunity to wish our clients, partners and prospects a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year – we hope your new year is filled with prosperity, happiness and laughter.
We will be closing the office on Friday 20th December 2019, and returning back on Thursday 2nd January 2020.
