Mole Valley Farmers was established in 1960 by a small group of farmers in South Molton, North Devon who created an agricultural buying group. The success of this early enterprise has resulted in the Mole Valley Farmers family of companies becoming a leading agricultural supply business spanning the length of Britain. Today they have over 9,000 Farmer Shareholders and more than 53,000 Country Members.
Mole Valley Farmers trades with co-operative principles and has strong values in respect of the farming community. Their ethos has always been to help their farming members improve productivity and profitability by offering a whole range of products and services at competitive prices. Over the years the company has grown and today they operate 56 nationwide rural retail locations, comprising Mole Valley Farmers; Mole Country Stores and Farmdirect along with other direct to farm businesses providing feed, fertiliser and other inputs to the nation’s farmers.
They employ over 2,000 people and have a turnover of £495 million.
