02 · How we approach ecommerce

The platform is chosen around the business requirements.

We start with the customers, catalogue, pricing, fulfilment, internal systems, team and budget. That work determines whether the right answer is to improve the current platform, replatform or build something new.
iWeb works across several ecommerce platforms and does not recommend the same product for every client.
01
The operation first
A platform decision sits inside how the business trades: fulfilment, finance, service, product data and the internal team. We look at the operation before recommending a product.
02
Recommend what fits
Adobe Commerce is one option among several. So is staying on the current platform. We tell you when the right answer is to improve what you have.
03
A system the internal team can run
The platform needs to be supportable by the client team as well as by us. We prefer straightforward integrations, clear audit trails and predictable operating costs.
04
Evidence-led priorities
We look at pages, queries, integrations and hand-offs, and prioritise the work from what the data shows rather than from opinion.
05
The same people on the work
The architects and engineers who scope a project are typically the same people who deliver and support it.
06
Accessibility and audit designed in
WCAG standards, data protection and audit requirements are considered early rather than added at the end.
03 · Platforms and connected systems

Ecommerce platforms depend on several connected systems.

An established ecommerce operation will often connect the storefront with ERP, PIM, CRM, OMS, WMS, payments, search, marketplaces and fulfilment systems.
A project can appear complete at storefront level while important data, order and fulfilment processes remain unresolved.
The matrix shows the platforms and systems our team has worked with, supported by project experience and staff expertise.

04 · Data, integrations and operations

Much of the difficult work sits behind the storefront.

Product data, customer pricing, stock, orders, fulfilment and reporting often pass between several systems. iWeb designs and supports the integrations that keep those processes working.
Getting those foundations right makes the platform easier to operate, support and change.
05 · Long-standing client and team relationships

Many clients and members of the team have worked with iWeb for a number of years.

06 · Our team and ownership

A cross-functional ecommerce team.

Projects are delivered by a mix of architects, engineers, designers, delivery leads, product-data specialists and support staff. The exact team depends on the systems and work involved.
Employee-owned since 2022.
iWeb is owned for the benefit of its employees through an Employee Ownership Trust. The structure supports long-term independence and gives the team a direct interest in the future of the company.
