Cloud delivery in Adobe Commerce (Magento)
Cloud options with iWeb Cloud, AWS and Azure
Choose either iWeb Cloud, AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Microsoft Azure as the underlying cloud infrastructure that provides optimal performance, resilience, and elastic scalability.
Monitoring with managed alerts
Our cloud delivery includes four different categories and two thresholds of managed alerts. Managed alerts monitors 200 metrics, and proactively tracking performance and site stability. These alerts include targeted instructions on how to fix underlying issues quickly and effectively.
Log aggregation
iWeb and Adobe Commerce (Magento) offers a logging solution in collaboration with New Relic that delivers a consolidated 360-degree view of your cloud environment. From one centralised area, you can simply obtain aggregated log data from the infrastructure, apps, content delivery network, and firewall services.
Integrated environment
Up to eight integration environments can be instantly built up, merged, cloned, and knocked down in Adobe Commerce (Magento) in the cloud for development and testing. These integration settings function in tandem with your live store’s staging and production environments.
Data warehousing and management
Our cloud-based data warehouse lets you manage and control the data your company needs to succeed, with different ways to get data in and selectable sync choices.
Solve your data challenges with elegant design and powerful data management
When you’re trying to make decisions based on data analysis and interpretation for your eCommerce business, it isn’t easy. Especially, when your data lives in varying systems and the majority of the data you require most isn’t connected to your store or is getting patched through messily with bulky integration work.
There’s no need to worry about developing or providing your own data warehouse — IWeb and Adobe Commerce (Magento) provide a hosted, cloud-based data warehouse that helps combine all of your data into one place so you can access it anywhere you are online. You can choose which data is synchronised from which systems, ensuring that your data is safe and your account is clean. You can also use our prebuilt integrations to quickly incorporate third-party data sources and databases, avoiding the bother of custom integrations.

Security

All of your data, out of harm’s way
Consumers or B2B buyers expect an unforgettable shopping experience, they also expect their most sensitive data to be secure. Keeping your consumer’s data safe is easier said than done with the ever-present lurk of cyber-threats.
Adobe Commerce (Magento) is PCI-certified as a level 1 Solution Provider. That means anyone using the solution can use PCI Attestation of Compliance to support their own PCI certification process. With Adobe, the security scanning tool allows you to keep track of your sites and get updated information about security risks, malware, and unauthorised access. This is so you can conduct your online business with confidence. Whenever there is a threat; new or current, your security defences will always be up-to-date, thanks to an active global developer community.
Create safe websites
Consumer’s browser
Using HTTPS on your site will ensure your consumers are better protected. Whilst pages like checkout and account are always secured using HTTPS, we recommend securing all the pages on your site with HTTPS.
Content delivery network (CDN) & DDoS protection
From Layer 3 through Layer 7, Fastly provides CDN and DDoS protection. The Fastly CDN aids in the isolation of direct access to the origin server, and the public DNS only points to its network. Layer 3 and Layer 4 attacks, as well as more complicated Layer 7 attacks, are all protected by the Fastly DDOS solution. Customised rules based on the full HTTP/HTTPS request, as well as client and request criteria such as headers, cookies, request path, and client IP, as well as indicators like geolocation, can be used to stop Layer 7 assaults.
Web application firewall (WAF)
Additional protection is provided by the Fastly web application firewall (WAF). Third-party rules from commercial and open source sources, such as the OWASP Core Ruleset and Commerce-specific rules, are used in Fastly’s cloud-based WAF. Customers are secured against known injection attacks and malicious inputs, cross-site scripting, data exfiltration, HTTP protocol violations, and other OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities at the application layer. As new vulnerabilities are discovered, the WAF rules are updated. iWeb can “virtually patch” security flaws before software patches are released.
Virtual private cloud
The iWeb Cloud and Adobe Commerce (Magento) Cloud production environments are set up as a virtual private cloud (VPC), which means that each of the three production servers is isolated and has limited access to the cloud environment. Only encrypted connections to cloud servers are permitted. For file transfers, secure protocols such as SFTP or rsync can be utilised. Customers can utilise SSH tunnels to communicate with the application in a secure manner. Cloud security groups, a virtual firewall that limits access to the environment, are used to control all connections to these servers. Customers’ technical resources can use SSH to connect to these systems.
Test and encrypt
Penetration testing
Regular penetration tests are conducted by iWeb and Adobe on the core Adobe Commerce (Magento) features, for any customised applications or additional extensions, iWeb can run further penetration testing for you.
Payment gateway
A payment gateway integration is required for Adobe Commerce (Magento). This is to ensure that credit card data is passed directly from the consumer’s browser into the payment gateway. When using these payment extensions, any card data will not be stored in the Commerce production environment.
Commerce application
iWeb and Adobe Commerce (Magento) carry out regular testing on the core application code to locate any security vulnerabilities. Adobe also provide security patches to customers to fix any defects and security issues that are found. Commerce products are taken through validation processing, using a variety of security vulnerability assessment tools and external vendors for compliance. All testing is carried out by The Commerce Product Security Team. On a periodic basis, the full code base will also be scanned with these tools.
Direct emails are used to notify customers of any security patches, you will also receive notifications from the application and via the Commerce Security Centre. These patches must be applied to any custom application within 30 days in order to comply with PCI guidelines. A security scan tool is also provided to enable merchants to receive regular updates on security risks such as unauthorised access or malware issues and also the ability to regularly monitor their site. Security Scan is a free tool and can be used with any version of Adobe Commerce (Magento).
Encryption
Storage is provided by iWeb and Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS). The AES-265 method is used to encrypt all EBS volumes. This implies the data will be encrypted while in transit. Data in transit between the CDN and the origin, as well as between the origin servers, is encrypted by the system. Hashes are used to store customer passwords. The SHA-256 algorithm is used to secure sensitive credentials, including those for the payment gateway. When data is not at rest or in transit between servers, the Adobe Commerce (Magento) application does not support column or row level encryption.
Create safe websites
Read-only file system
To protect the platform environment, all executable code is delivered as a read-only Squash FS image. The read-only filesystem further lowers the chances of injecting PHP or JavaScript code into the system or modifying the Commerce application files.
Remote deployment
Running a provisioning process is the only way to get executable code into the Adobe Commerce (Magento) production environment. This involves pushing source code from your source repository into a remote repository that initiates a deployment process. Access to that deployment target is controlled so you have complete control over who can access the deployment target. All deployments of application code to the production environment are controlled by iWeb and the customer.
Logging
Get in touch with us and gain a clear understanding of the KPIs that align with your organisation and will contribute to your success.
Backups
All cloud operations, including Linux, application server, and database logs, are backed up and kept on production servers. A Git repository keeps track of all source code modifications. The iWeb and Adobe Commerce (Magento) Cloud user interface has a history of deployments. All support sessions are documented and all access to support is logged.
ERP integration
To increase efficiency, integrate your ERP system with your Adobe Commerce (Magento) store. Using it, you can sync inventory, orders, customer data, and delivery details between your key business systems.
Seamless integration every time, all the time
The best way to operate an online store is with a connected ERP, while an online store can operate without a connected ERP, using one eliminates human error and enhances the customer’s user experience with less waiting time for order information.
When you connect your ERP system to Adobe Commerce (Magento), you can seamlessly sync your inventory, orders, customer data, and shipping information between the two platforms. You can put an end to batch procedures and manual order management by allowing both platforms to run with near-real-time data. Your employees will spend less time on repetitive tasks, and your consumers will have a better understanding of product pricing and availability.

More benefits of an integrated ERP
Inventory visibility
Enterprise resource planning systems contain critical data like orders, prices, customer info, product data, and delivery methods. When you integrate eCommerce and ERP systems, you let both platforms run with near-realtime data. Get rid of batch processes or the manual managing of orders and give customers a more accurate picture of product pricing and availability.
Reduce support calls
Enhance your customer service experience and make your team more efficient by fielding the dreaded ‘where is my order’ (WISMO) questions more easily, with more accurate information and real-time access to delivery and fulfillment data from your ERP system.
Manage costs
When purchase information does not reach your ERP system quickly, you may need to hold onto more safety stock to account for this lag, running the risk of order-inventory mismatch. Integrating platforms means transactions are instantly visible to the ERP system so product levels can be managed in real-time and you can store less inventory.
Simplify compliance
When you connect Adobe Commerce (Magento) with your ERP, you ensure customers receive their negotiated contract pricing and the right set of products. You can also use your ERP tax engine to apply bespoke rates and customer-specific rules to eCommerce purchases. It eliminates the need to manually synchronise data and enhances compliance with local and regional rules by storing tax information in one location.

PCI compliance
As a certified PCI Solution Provider, Adobe Commerce makes compliance easier for you by offering integrated payment gateways that allow you to securely transmit credit card data.
We make PCI compliance a breeze
In the ecommerce business, there’s nothing you want less than the credit companies giving you the side-eye due to lax security practices. PCI compliance mandates that merchants protect their customers’ credit card information through rules and procedures, software design, and network architecture. If you don’t follow these rules, you risk receiving hefty fines and maybe losing your ability to handle payments.
As a PCI Level 1 Solution Provider, Adobe simplifies the certification process for merchants using Adobe Commerce (Magento). Certifying your store is still your responsibility, but they make the process easier. In addition to providing a pre-certified infrastructure, Adobe offers integrated payment gateways that let you securely transmit credit card data via direct post API methods or with hosted payment forms. By storing no sensitive data on the Adobe application server, your customers will have a seamless checkout experience.
